Do I need to make an appointment?
We offer all of our brides a one to one consultation, so to ensure every customer has the best service, we do ask that you make an appointment.
Saturday and Thursday evening appointments are the most popular, so book early if these are your preferred times.
What will a bridal gown cost ?
Before you start shopping for the dress of your dreams you should set a budget. Bare in mind that most dresses will need some alterations to ensure a perfect fit, and this will be an extra cost. The prices of our gowns vary between £500 and £1300, and bridesmaids between £135 and £220.
When should I start looking?
We suggest eight months to a year before the wedding. Most dresses take between 12 and 16 weeks to be delivered, so to allow plenty of time for fittings you should be placing your order at least 6 months in advance of the wedding.
I haven’t got much time, can I still get a dress?
Some of our designers offer a ‘rush cut’, this means a shorter delivery time. An extra charge is made for a rush cut on both bridal and bridesmaid gowns, and your choice may be a little more restricted. We also have a selection of discontinued gowns that are available to buy off the peg at a discounted price.
Who should I bring with me?
Go shopping with someone who will give you honest feedback. Although we have plenty of space, we do recommend that you keep the number of guests you bring to a minimum. The more people there are, the more opinions you will receive, which can cloud your judgement. The most important opinion is yours!
We don’t recommend bringing babies or toddlers. Bridal shops are very boring places for little people, and trying to keep them entertained whilst you are gowns on can be difficult, particularly as you will be with us for a couple of hours.
What sizes are your samples?
We carry bridal and bridesmaid samples in sizes 10 – 22. Bridal shopping is unlike shopping on the high street, we don’t carry every dress in every size. You should expect to try dresses that are sometimes a little too big or too small.
Will you store my dress?
We do offer a storage service, but charge a small fee. As we do not have storage facilities at the shop, we hire a warehouse unit at the Secure Store in Leighton Buzzard. We have full insurance cover for the unit, so the fee we charge is to cover these costs.
